It is with great enthusiasm (and a touch of sadness) that I write this recommendation for Marx. While I worked with him as a Product Manager, he demonstrated exceptional knowledge of managing software development teams and a rare ability to keep things running — even when chaos seemed inevitable. He was certainly the "glue" that held our processes, our teams, and often our sanity together!

In terms of process, he's a master at balancing customer needs with business goals, all while maintaining a laser-sharp focus on timelines and deliverables. His knack for translating complex requirements into understandable tasks for developers was uncanny. I think he speaks two languages fluently: "business" and "tech." (not to mention German and English) and always seems to have his finger on the pulse of the current thinking around product development and user satisfaction.

Beyond his technical prowess, Marx is a true team player. I didn't work with him the whole time, but he wrangled diverse teams of engineers, designers, and stakeholders — keeping everyone aligned and (mostly) sane for a very long time.

In short, Marx is the type of person you want on your team: knowledgeable, dependable, and with an incredible presence that makes the inevitable bumps in the road seem far less daunting. I would gladly recommend him for any product management role (and any role in general) without hesitation — though I do secretly hope to work with him again one day!
